1. Respect comes first
Comments are a space for conversation between enthusiasts. Memories, opinions, corrections, personal experiences and different points of view are welcome. Insults, personal attacks, provocation, discrimination, blasphemy or hostile behaviour towards other users, authors, the editorial team or the community are not allowed.
2. Stay on topic
Comments should remain connected to the article, game, platform, author or topic being discussed. Digressions are natural, but completely off-topic discussions, personal arguments or unrelated complaints may be removed.
3. No spam or self-promotion
Spam, advertising, promotional links, repeated self-promotion and invitations to unrelated channels, groups, shops or external services are not allowed. Useful and contextual links may be accepted when they add value to the discussion.
4. Spoilers, piracy and sensitive content
Spoilers should be clearly marked. Emulation, historical preservation and piracy can be discussed as cultural or technical subjects, but links to illegal material, ROMs, cracks, pirate websites or instructions for bypassing protections and copyright are not allowed. Pornographic, violent, illegal or otherwise unsuitable content is not allowed in the editorial context of the website.
5. Moderation
Comments may be reviewed before publication or moderated afterwards. The editorial team may approve, reject, edit, hide or remove comments when needed to keep the discussion orderly and respectful. Moderation decisions are not discussed publicly in the comments.
6. Accounts and abusive behaviour
Accounts must be used correctly. Attempts to bypass restrictions, create multiple identities to disrupt discussion, impersonate other people or use comments to harass other users are not allowed. In case of abuse, an account may be suspended or limited.
7. Community spirit
Retro-Gamers.it exists because of a shared passion for video games, computers, consoles, arcades and digital memory. Criticism and disagreement are welcome when expressed with respect. The goal is to build discussions that add something to the article, not to win a war in the comments.
