Marco Finelli is a web developer and retro-gaming enthusiast who grew up among floppy disks, pixels and 16-bit dreams. An Amiga fan from the start, he lived through every stage of video game evolution, eventually becoming a console and PC player as well, without ever losing his bond with the machines that defined an era.
Founder of Retro-Gamers.it, he looks at the past with a modern eye, exploring not only retro gaming but also contemporary hardware, as long as it still has a soul and a direct connection to what came before. Convinced that Apple’s ecosystem today represents the spiritual heir to the innovative vision once embodied by Commodore — but with a clearer direction — he observes technology with passion, critical spirit and attention to detail.
A lover of fantasy and adventure, he finds endless inspiration in the worlds of The Lord of the Rings, the stories of Indiana Jones and the timeless LucasArts adventures — the real ones, by Ron Gilbert. Among more recent experiences, he considers The Last of Us one of the narrative peaks of modern video games, while keeping a lucid eye on a present that does not always live up to the past.
Proudly from Genoa and a Sampdoria supporter, he moves between code and writing with the same philosophy: building something made to last, just like the great classics he continues to tell.
